SLD (Second-Level Domain)
The part of a domain to the left of the extension — in example.com, the SLD is “example”.
Almost everything that makes a name valuable lives in the SLD: length, keywords, pronounceability, pattern. Investors analyze SLDs independently of extensions when judging demand.
