How many extensions a given SLD is registered in — a demand signal: keywords taken across many TLDs have proven, distributed interest.

Breadth tools (DotDB is the standard) turn this into a quick filter: a stem registered in 50 extensions has evidence behind it that a stem registered in 2 does not.
