Sell-Through Rate (STR)

The percentage of a portfolio that sells in a year — the industry's core velocity metric, commonly low single digits for retail-priced portfolios.

STR × average price − renewals is the whole business model in one line. Raising STR usually means lowering price or improving inventory quality; chasing both at once is the craft.
