Auth Code (EPP Code)
A secret transfer-authorization code that proves a domain owner consents to moving the name to another registrar.
The seller obtains the code from the current registrar; the buyer enters it at the receiving registrar to start the transfer. Codes plus the 60-day transfer lock are the two friction points in cross-registrar deals.
